Mike should have done a more thorough research on the facts before making fun of EFSA. That dehydration story is just that. To make it short, EFSA does NOT deny that water hydrates, actually the opposite is the case. The fake health claim that was filed (deliberately?) in ambiguous wording, that was scientifically simply wrong and therefore turned down, was filed by lobbyists of big food companies in order to discredit the control of health claims.

If you have seen the movie “Idiocracy”, you know that the “water does not help with dehydration” thing is directly from the movie. Are you kidding me?BTW, In the movie, no one drinks water anymore, just a product that is basically Gatorade. in fact they put this Gatorade on the farm crops. Water is only used to flush toilets.
